Dear Friends,
Preparations will soon be underway for Musica Sacra’s annual Messiah performances at Carnegie Hall, December 21 and 22! The choir will begin rehearsing our favorite choruses, the orchestra will begin working on the vibrant score, and Kent and the soloists will begin crafting each recitative and aria into those transcendent moments that take our breath away. These performances have indeed become a New York holiday tradition. Classical music lovers from near and far know that Musica Sacra brings an unmatched artistry to Handel’s most beloved masterpiece.
The New Yorker recently hailed the “superb professional forces of Musica Sacra” for its “distinguished Messiah performances.” WQXR Radio listed these concerts as a top holiday highlight for 2010. If you have not yet purchased your tickets to one of the performances, please contact us immediately. A few tickets are still available.
And while we fill Carnegie Hall for these magnificent performances, it takes much more than the sale of tickets to make these concerts happen.
Contributions from supporters like you enable us to continue presenting captivating programs of great choral masterworks and rarely heard treasures in New York’s finest concert halls.
Your gift, no matter how large or small, ensures that New York City audiences will be able to experience this music that stirs the heart, moves the soul, and ignites the spirit.
Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to Musica Sacra before the year-end and know that your gift will help make these glorious performances possible for years to come. Thank you so much for your support.
Warmest wishes for a merry holiday season,
Mary B. Davidson
