Musica Sacra has been presented with a wonderful opportunity.
In October 2009, an anonymous donor initiated a challenge grant to ensure that Musica Sacra remains strong and sustainable as the premiere professional choral organization in New York City. The Board of Directors of Musica Sacra has enthusiastically and gratefully accepted this challenge, as specified by the donor’s following terms:
- The anonymous donor will make an outright contribution to Musica Sacra in the amount of $30,000 by November 15, 2009.
- Musica Sacra must raise $40,000 in cash or pledges by December 31, 2009 (pledges to be paid by April 1, 2010).
- When Musica Sacra confirms that this $40,000 has been pledged and or given outright, the anonymous donor will immediately donate an additional $30,000.
The monies raised from this challenge grant are in addition to the monies necessary to sustain the Musica Sacra annual operating budget. This provides each of us an opportunity to contribute to both the annual fund and the challenge grant with a stretch gift.
In response to this challenge, each member of the Board immediately committed with 100% participation to stretch their individual personal financial support of Musica Sacra. We have been most encouraged by the response to this challenge so far by others and we are certain that we will reach the goal.
The Board now invites you, our loyal supporters and audience members, to consider making a gift at this critical moment in the life of Musica Sacra. No contribution is too small – every dollar will bring us one step closer to realizing the $40,000 challenge. Challenge Grant Response Card
