Musica Sacra International Study Tours
Musica Sacra travels throughout Europe to study in the footsteps of the great masters of choral music. To walk the cobbled stone streets, visit the majestic churches, partake of the local culture, and revel in the vistas that inspired these composers give us all a sense of the majesty of their great compositions.
Europe is also home to some of the world’s greatest professional choruses and through these study tours Friends of Musica Sacra enjoy these rich choral performances.
The tours are designed to be small (10-20 people) so that each participant can experience special VIP Service. The group is evenly divided with people traveling alone and accompanied. Some tours involve river cruises and some are land tours.
Here are two comments from Friends participating in the last study tour:
“Just to have spent a week on the Danube would have made the Musica Sacra Study Tour a great trip. To have simultaneously had the experience of being part of a wonderful group of music lovers listening to and talking with one of the world’s great choral conductors, moved the enjoyment to an even higher level. Let’s do it again.” David Jackson.
“Musica Sacra’s International Study Tour was memorable in four ways. I learned a lot about Mozart from the daily seminars with Dick Westenburg, enjoyed beautiful organ and orchestral performances, visited spectacular Cathedrals and Concert venues and most important of all, made new friends by being a member of a great group of music lovers. I look forward to the next trip!” Jim Kelly.
