JANET LUHRS, General Manager
Janet Luhrs, CAE, is a non-for-profit association consultant and former television producer. Since 2000 she has served Musica Sacra as the General Manager. She is a specialist in strategic planning; board development, board structure; marketing; event fund raising; action planning and development, organization imaging and positioning.
Previously, she was the Executive Director and a founder of the International Teleproduction Society and the Senior Producer in charge of public affairs programming for WPIX-TV for fourteen years, as well as an independent producer for five years.
Her awards and honors have included being named a CAE, Certified Association Executive by ASAE - the American Society of Association Executives, an Emmy Nomination, and listings in several Who’s Whos. She was elected as a Delegate and Alternate to three Republican National Conventions from New York City. She recently helped found a community theatre at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, where she recently served as an elder.
Ms. Luhrs received a BA from Valparaiso University where she later was elected to the Alumni Board. Her continuing education has included: Columbia University, The New School for Social Research, Emory University Business School, Center for Leadership and numerous management and leadership Conferences in the field of non-for-profit management.
